Our program is made possible by the generous support of our volunteer music instructors. Prospective students submit a free application along with one form of eligibility verification. If accepted, each student receives an initial four free 30-minute online live video lessons, which will occur at the same day and time each week. As long as the student continues to show satisfactory progress, additional 30-minute lessons will continue to be provided.
The first step is to submit your application. To be eligible for the program, applicants must provide ONE form of eligibility verification from the following list:
SNAP/EBT approval letter
Medicaid enrollment
Public housing assistance
Low income need based referral from a social worker, church, or nonprofit organization
Please cover or remove any sensitive information before uploading documents; DO NOT INCLUDE Social Security numbers, account numbers, or case ID numbers.
After you submit your application, our team will review it. (Application Review Times) If you meet the eligibility requirements, we’ll reach out by email to officially welcome you into the program!
Once accepted into the program, you'll be contacted with instructions to schedule your online orientation meeting with a member of our team.
During this meeting, we’ll:
Set up your preferred video platform (Zoom, Google Meet, or FaceTime)
Give you a chance to play a piece of your choice — ideally one you feel confident with and that shows your current skill level
Go over expectations and a few important policies
At the end of the meeting, you’ll be matched with a music teacher who will guide you through your lessons moving forward and will schedule a time that works for both of you.
